Dear Mr. President:

Why is it so hard for all who are serving in Congress to agree? Why is that while running for office, you all make promises and then do not keep most of them?
Mr. president, how can you sleep at night, knowing that there are people  out here who cannot sleep because they have no place to sleep?
How can you sleep, knowing there are folks who cannot put food on the table, because they have to pay the rent or mortgage? They have to make the choice to either go hungry for a day or more or be homeless.
Seems like you all are more worried about keeping your statuses in check, and worrying about the welfare of other countries. I say, help the United States first and foremost. Yes, it is a shame that there are others who are in worse shape then we are, but unfortunately most of them do not really want our help, and/or not very appreciative of our help.
I understand that you are trying to bring the troops home and end the wars, but personally I do not believe it is very sensible to spend all our time and money on that. There will always be a terrorist, there will always be natural disasters, there will always be someone getting killed; we cannot save the world.
