This anxiety-
This PTSD-
Isn't weakness.
It's evidence.
Evidence of wars
We sent kids to fight.
Evidence of streets
We let fall apart.
Evidenceof a system
That profits
From survival mode.
We call them heroes
Then ignore
Their funerals.
We preach strength
But cut
The lifelines.
Tell people
To "man up,"
"pray harder,"
"work more,"
"stop complaining."
Meanwhile
The numbers climb-
Quietly.
Daily.
Predictably.
This isn't personal failure.
It's collective neglect.
And history
Will remember
How comfortable
We were
Looking away.
