Climbing

I am climbing and climbing the mountain,
never to reach the top, or so it seems.
Climb and climb as I go forth,
to get knocked down again and again.
Why should I keep climbing, just to get knocked
down over and over-

What the hell was I thinking last week and not working out at all?
Will not attempt that again.
So much for trying to take advantage of every minute in the day, to study for finals,
Working out will prove to produce better exam results.

Today

Today, another day.
Yesterday is gone, far, far away.
Tomorrow is not here yet, not even close-
don't have any idea what tomorrow will bring either.
Do I want to know, you ask?
Yes, of course I would like to know,
but will I know before tomorrow is here?
No I will not-
therefore, here I shall be, doing what today has brought me.

Can you honestly say, "I love you" to yourself and Mean it?

How many of us can honestly look in the mirror and say "I Love You" to the one staring back at you (you)? If I had to estimate a guess, I do not think it would be a whole lot of you. Though I think you might think you can and do love yourself, but come on. Are you content with the way you are? You wouldn't change a thing about you? You like you, and accept you for who and what you are?
If you are one of these people that is content with yourself, to the point you would not change a thing, then kudos to you!
However, for the ones like myself, you are not very content at all with who we are, do not know ourselves or like ourselves very much, then we need to get moving. I have to say I am closer to liking "Me" more than I was three years ago, but I still have a long way to go, and I am not content with me yet. I still find myself comparing myself to others, trying to change who I am, how I look or wishing it.
It's not our faults that we are this way, that we are not content, that we do not like ourselves. It is society, the world, the media that makes us wish differently of how we think we want to be like.

The power of words,
to be able to write words on a piece of paper for all the world to see, what an experience it is!
Words give so much to others,
inspiration,
love,
saddness,
happiness,
anger,
whatever it may be, it's the power of words.
Words hold so much emotion in them,
to have that much power, has I hold the pen and jot words down on paper, what an experience.

Be yourself, don't worry about what others want you to be; It is your life-live it and be happy doing it.

The long haul, the journey of a lifetime-self-discovery, one journey that should never be given up on. Stay true to yourself, stay on the journey to the end, no matter how hard it is. No one ever said it was going to be an easy task to conquer.

Dream big, dream now, dream always. Don't ever stop dreaming those dreams-dreams are what keeps us moving foward in our own lives.
