Cruel world,
out for themselves;
kindness,
no more;
trust,
next to none,
if any at all;
how did it end up this way?
Love,
seems like its slim pickings,
lovers, friends,
its all a slim chance.
Does anyone really understand?
Does anyone really ever really love,
or is there an agenda,
behind every spoken word,
behind every feeling,
if there is what do we do;
play along,
walk away.
